First day parking:  Please do not park on Wakefield Drive.  Enter the side entrance and park in any available parking space. For extra parking please continue driving to the south end of the building and park on the playground.   Your cooperation in this matter will help make our first day flow smoothly.
  
          In order to assure that our children arrive and get home safely we feel the need to go over our arrival/dismissal procedures. Please review these procedures with your child and anyone else who may be transporting your child to and from school. Thank you so much for helping us adhere to these procedures.


Let’s begin by defining the following:

Walkers: These are children whose parents allow them to walk to/from school from their home nearby.

Bus Riders: These children are transported to and from school by a Metro Bus. We identify buses by numbers posted on the side of the bus.

Day Care Children: These children attend a day care before/after school. Most of these children are transported to and from school by a bus/van. We do have an on-site day care, called Fun Company, operated by the YMCA.

Car Riders: These children are transported to/from school by a car. We do not consider these children “walkers”. They are not to walk to another part of the building or out to the street to meet their car/parent. We ask that parents of car riders please get in our arrival/ dismissal lanes and follow procedures. Please do not park on a side street or ask your child to meet you somewhere else.
