Kindergarten Registration is the week of April 27 – May 1 during school hours—8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  (We will be registering till 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 30.)

Parents should bring with them: Birth Certificate, Physical Examination (within 12 months of school starting) & Tennessee Certificate of Immunization (green form from doctor’s office or Metro Health Dept.), Proof of Residence (utility bill, copy of lease, etc.).

 Your child may be enrolled in kindergarten if he/she is 5 yrs. old on or before September  30 of the current school year.

 If a language other than English is spoken in your home, your child needs to register at the International Student Registration Center, located within the English Language Learners Office at 2601 Bransford Avenue. Please call 259-8608 for an appointment.

 During the week of kindergarten registration, children will be allowed to visit the kindergarten classrooms.  We will have parent volunteers taking families on these tours.

In the fall before school begins, we will be having a Kindergarten Parent Orientation Meeting.  At this time you will be able to meet your child’s teacher.  We do not test the kindergarten children before school begins.
